Thunder BRidge

CAMPGROUND, ART STUDIOS, EVENT SPACE

Who we are

Thunder BRidge is an arts and cultural center tucked into the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia

A family-owned campground, artist community, and event space, Thunder BRidge hosts 100 acres of rich history, historic buildings, and idyllic woodland.

The property was built in the early 1930s as a Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camp, then converted to a federal reformatory, followed by a boys juvenile correctional center.

In 2021, the Pannabeckers purchased the land and turned it into the beautiful space it is today.

From campers who want to get lost in nature to travelers looking to immerse themselves in the rich history of the area, Thunder BRidge has a place for everyone

For tent camping, cabins, and RV sites

For airbnb vacation rentals
